MAC’s Heroine lipstick relaunched recently in the Fashion Sets, and I knew I needed this color in my lipstick menagerie. Especially since I have been lusting over it ever since it lauched last year in MAC’s Reel Sexy collection. The color sold out quickly the first time, and it’s no suprise that it did again the second time around.
MAC Heroine is the perfect matte neon purple lip color because it’s great to create many lip looks. The formula is super creamy and glides on very smoothly, making it a lipstick lovers dream. This neon purple lipstick is a must-have for the spring/summer season, but it can also transition well into the fall and winter seasons.
I have been experimenting a lot with the color in the last two weeks and I have a feeling that you will be seeing a lot of Heroine in my upcoming posts this season.
Here are 5 ways to create a statement with Heroine lipstick!
3D Lip color
Spring Sunset
To create this sunset inspired lip, start by lining your lips with a fuchsia lip liner. Then, fill your lips with Heroine and mix Viva Glam Nicki in the center of your lips. |
Poppin’ Purple
Create a neon pastel lip by mixing Heroine with Lime Crime’s D’Lilac. Isn’t this a fun shade!?!?!? |
Ombré Obsession
Traditional Heroine

I haven’t worn my heroine yet, but I plan to! I like the ombre look, but full on is great too. 🙂

The Ombré look is fun for the right event, but the traditional look is much more wearable and still very chic. Enjoy your lipstick!
