Happy commercialized love holiday everyone!
Pardon the sarcasm, but on a real note, I like Valentine’s day. I think its cute, sweet and a fun day to express our love to all of the special people in our lives. With that said, I love all of my followers and I am very thankful for your support and all of your kind comments! I really appreciate each and every one of you 🙂 P.S. Make sure you check out my VDAY GIVEAWAY!!!
** Disclaimer: These products were sent to me by Moon Rabbit Cosmetics for review, However, my opinion still remains 100% my own and honest.**
A few weeks ago a received a package from Jess at Moon Rabbit Cosmetics. Moon Rabbit Cosmetics is an indie online makeup retailer based out of Syracuse, New York. As stated on their website (Which is very cute and sleek) the company makes hand made cosmetics that usually consist of Vegan products. I waited until today to post my review, because I thought it was appropriate for Vday. The collection I received is called the Valentine’s day set and included 5 lovely shades.
All of the eyeshadows (which are also safe to use on lips and nails) came in a clam shell style container. The product was pretty well mixed. I did see some pieces which appeared to be a little large, but then again I am not that familiar with mineral products. I really liked that the products came sealed in plastic. I believe this gives the products a more professional appearance and also keeps the products secure during shipping, so they do not open up and create a mess. They also came inside of a cute little draw string pouch which was placed in a festive Valentines day ziplock bag, which fit the them of the product perfectly!
These are the swatches of the colors I received. These colors are swathed over Too Faced Eye Shadow insurance. I also used my flash to take this photography. As you can see, the colors appear pretty pigmented, and all have a sparkly finish. I also noticed that the color “Cupid” is a very similar duplicate to MAC’s “All that glitters”.
Here is my Valentine’s Day look I created using Moon Rabbit!
I Created a very soft and natural look for Vday. |
The lighting in this pic is weird, but you can still see the look. |
Overal, I think Moon Rabbit Cosmetics I good company. I really like their packaging and their website, which is very informational and user friendly. I did not pay for these products, since I received them for review, but the pricing is excellent! In addition to full sizes, they also offer sample sizes at a very minimal price. As for the products I think they were nice as well, and I preferred them more in person than photographed. In the future, I think I will use a white base with the colors to make them pop more, since I feel they got washed and muted in photography. For any additional info on Moon Rabbit, or to purchase your own products please make sure you visit their website!
