NOTE: As you all can see I changed the look of my blog over the weekend. I really like it except, there is one tiny little problem. On the sides, I cannot figure out how to take off my old background for my header. If anyone can help me figure this out, I would gladly appreciate it very much! I’m not good with HTML stuff and the person who originally redid my template/blog is MIA. If you can help, please email me or post on the comment thread below. 🙂
For the first look of my February “Lovely Looks” series, I decided to go with a vintage inspired look. I do a lot of crazy, bright bold looks, but let’s face it, we can’t always rock our blue eye shadow every day! So here is a classic pin up look that is very wearable as a day or night look. This is also a great look to wear on Vday 🙂 Asides from the bold liner and red lip, I think an essential part of a GREAT classic look is flawless skin. I dont’ think I have ever done a review on my foundation, so here is a quick review of my favorite daily foundation.
Makeup Forever HD Invisible Coverage Foundation
Price: $40.00 ( Can be purchased at Sephora)
Packaging: Sleek and simple black packaging with a very professional appeal. The Foundation comes in a pump bottle.
Product Details: MUFE HD foundation is an oil-free foundation that offers medium to full coverage in 25 different shades. This foundation is a High Definition foundation, which means it will appear flawless on screen (or photography) and can also be worn as an everyday foundation. The bottle contains 1.01 oz of product.
Verdict: I love this foundation and it my everyday go to foundation. I cant believe it has taken me this long to write a review about it (I’ve been using it for over a year)! This is a water based foundation and it does not contain SPF, which makes it ideal for photography. As for application, this foundation applies very well and can be applied in several ways. I usually use a stippled brush, but you can also use a beauty blender or your finger tips if you prefer. The product blends very well, and once set (with a setting powder) it stays in place for hours. My favorite thing is that it leaves my skin flawless, without looking cakey, smudging or feeling heavy at all! If call also be mixed with a tinted moisturizer if you want minimal coverage. Once applied, this foundation leaves a matte finish which I really like. I know, I know, the price tag on this product is pretty steep, but I promise its worth every cent! On the bright side, a little goes a long way with this product. I use it almost daily and it lasts me about 6 months. It also has a removable top, which can be opened to scrape out the last remains of the product.
Here’s the first look for my February Series…..

I’ve seen some youtube beauty gurus who rave about the HD foundation. Right now I’m using MAC studio fix foundation. Any comparisons? Your review was great, I may have to try this foundation as well!

Is it worth switching over from Revlon’s Colorstay?

Love this look! Now I’m curious about the foundation too, I keep hearing good things about it. 🙂
Also you’re using the blogspot template then you click the template designer and it’s under the background tab on the left, then you just choose the color you want I believe. 🙂

Oh my gosh! You ladies just inspired an upcoming blog post…. I will go into details about the three. But real quick, Studio fix, color stay and MUFE HD are very comparable, I have used the 3 and believe that each has their pro’s. They also have slight differences from each other, which I will explain in the post. But the reason I personally like MUFE best, is because It REALLY covers all of my imperfections, especially my pores, which I hate and battle with everyday!
