Hello Pretties,
I would like to introduce Alexis from Smokin Colour, who created a lovely look for all of you today. The look she created is inspired by my “blast from the past” series, and is the second and last guest blogger post for this series. I may create one or two more looks for this series before I launch my “Halloween 2012” series later this month!
Enjoy the post and don’t forget to check out Alexis’ blog!
Hey Pretty in Pigment readers!
My name is Alexis from Smokin Colour, where I postlooks that I’ve create on myself, makeovers I force upon my little sister & sometimes the occasional review or rant. My experimenting with makeup has become an obsession & I started my blog to meet others who are just as obsessed & to improve my skills.
I’m here today to contribute to Sahily’s “Blast from the Past” series.
Here is my original look:
There are just too many things wrong with this execution.
I don’t even know where to being lol.
And here’s the updated version:
I have put together a super short pictorial for those of you who’d like to try this look too:
I started off by defining my brows & priming my lid with Urban Decay’s Primer Potion.
I used regular white cream clown makeup as a base just on the lid, for a lack of a better product & it seems to work pretty well & lasts all day.
Then, I started applying color for the inner corner outward. I first color I used was Sugarpill’s Buttercupcake.
Then, I placed Sugarpill’s Flamepoint next to Buttercupcake and blended the two together.
Next, I placed Sugarpill’s Love+ on the outer corner & blended it into Flamepoint.
Then, I used MAC’s Kid to blend out & Urban Decay’s virgin as a highlight
Finally, I added Urban Decay’s pencil liner in Zero to the waterline of my eye, NYC’s liquid liner to the top lash line & smudged some of NYX’s black bean on the lower lash line, added some ELF lashes & ta-da!
For my lips I used NYX’s Mega shine gloss in Pink Rose.
I hope you guys liked this look and I would like to thanks Sahily for letting me take over her blog for a bit.
