Disclosure: I received a complimentary dress from Eshakti for editorial consideration. I only partner with brands that I personally know and love. All thoughts and opinions shared in this post are 100% my own, but you already knew that.
As a young girl, I remember watching TV shows and asking my grandmother (who was a seamstress) to make me custom dresses. She always honored my request and they never fell short on the details. From a magenta sequined shift dress to a frock with all seven dwarfs embroidered at the bottom, my grandma hooked it up when it came to my custom dress game. Now as an adult, Eshakti is helping me keep this tradition alive with their custom dresses for women of all size (0-36), including plus size women. I’ve had several dresses from Eshakti through the years, but the custom dress I’m sharing with you today is by far my favorite of them all!
Getting an affordable custom dress is no easy task because it will likely cost a pretty penny. Have you looked into having a dress made for you lately? Trust me, it’s not cheap. Even alterations can cost you quite a bit, and I would rather take that money to spend on accessories. This is where Eshakti comes in. They have a wide selection of dresses, ranging from classic silhouettes to trending styles, in also sorts of fabrics and prints. When you order a piece from their website, you simply provide your measurements (there’s a guide on their site if you need help) and your customizations. For example, if you see a dress you love, but wish it had sleeves, they can make it happen. Cool stuff, right?
When I saw this Ruffle tropical print wrap dress on their website, I instantly fell in love with it. It reminded me of the fun flamingo shift dress that I got from them a few summers ago. I typically wouldn’t be able to buy a dress like this without taking it to a seamstress to be massively shortened. Many times, the dress just doesn’t look the same after it’s been altered. Since Eshakti only changes a small fee to customize a garment ($9.95 per piece), it’s affordable for me to get a dress that I love and fits me right. Considering that you’re getting a custom piece, shipping only takes 10-14, which is not bad for a made you item.
In addition to custom sizing, Eshakti also lets you customize the following areas of your piece:
- Neckline
- Sleeve type
- Length
- Details such as embellishment
- Pockets (but who in the world would want to get rid of pockets?!?!)
I was so excited to try on this dress and anxiously waited for its arrival. When I tried it on I was stoked with how it looked and it on me. The quality of the dress and print, paired with the way it fit me made this number an instant favorite. With summer soirée on the horizon, I’m excited to wear this beautiful dress to rooftop parties and events. In fact, I wore it last night to my friend’s bachelorette party and the tropical vibes of this dress were a huge hit!

It’s gorgeous, and is love a link directly to this dress. Could you describe the fabric? That’s my biggest trepidation with eShakti. I like a bit of stretch and it’s hard to tell what sowing will feel like.
Also, where is the discount code? You mention it but it’s not listed.

HI! The code is PrettyInPigment10. I’m sorry I forgot to include it the first time around. As for the fabric, it’s a breathable cotton fabric. It feels and looks great, but you will have to iron it.
