The Zpalette is a must have for pro makeup artist and makeup aficionado alike. The palette has a large, clear plastic window that allows you to see your products easily, while securing them on a strong magnetic base. No need to worry if your pans are not magnetic, the palette comes with 10 stick on magnets that can be used to magnetize any pan.
With the Zpalette you have the freedom to create palettes with a variety of products and store them in one easy to clean location. Rather than cleaning 10 palettes after a day of bridal makeup, I just sanitize one convient palette.
Check out the strength of the magnetic base! Have no fear, your products will not fall off easily. I will warn you, the lid can be a little flimsy and can come undone. I have damaged a few shadows like this. Although this light-weight palette is perfect for travel, I recommend you secure the top with a strong elastic band. On the plus side, the lid conveniently folds back like a book to remain compact.
Naturally, I’m sure you are wondering how to de-pot your products to place them in the palette? Everyone says this step is easy, but I beg to differ. This can be a tricky step, but there are a ton of videos on YouTube that can help. You can also check out the Zpalette website for some tips and tricks. I used the flat iron method to depot my shadows when I first got my first Zpalette a few years ago. Most of my shadows survived the transition, but I did damage a few that I later had to repair. I recommend you research de-depotting and select the method that is best for you. When purchasing shadows, try to buy shadows that come already de-potted such as MAC and Makeup Geek shadows.
Once you have de-poted your product, the rest is easy breezy. All you have to do is stick on a magnet at the bottom of your pan and then attach the original label on top of the magnet. Violà! A magnetic pan ready to be stored in your Zpalette.
I have been using Zpalette’s for a few years now and overall I’m happy with their performance. They are pretty durable and have lasted over two years. The Zpalette has given me the freedom to carry several brands and sizes of makeup pans in one palette. I also forgot to mention that they come in an array of colors and designs, perfect for your personality. I currently have hot pink, leopard, cheetah and a classic black palette.
