Taudrey Social Media Jewelry
A few years ago, when I first decided to start a beauty blog, I remember sitting in my room in NYC trying to figure out what I would call my digital beauty journal. This wasn’t my first blog, as a matter of fact; I have been blogging since back in the Xanga days. But this was the first blog that I felt passionate about.
Creating a compelling name for my blog was really important to me, but I found myself suffering from a severe case of writers block. In order to get the words flowing in my head, I decided to create a list of things that I liked. For some reason the movie Pretty In Pink kept coming to mind. And then it hit me—Pretty In Pigment.
Inspired by one of my favorite movies, a time period that I adore (the 80s of course!), my love for makeup and my favorite color in the whole wide world, Pretty In Pigment couldn’t have been a better match for me.
Three years later, Pretty In Pigment isn’t just the name of my beauty blog; it’s actually a part of my identity. People have gotten to know me as Pretty In Pigment and some times even call me by that name rather than my real name. Maybe it’s because it’s easier to pronounce than my birth name (pronounced Sigh-lee). I now use Pretty In Pigment as my username for all of my social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Since social media is just as important to me as my blog name, I was thrilled to hear about the social media jewelry collection by TAudrey. The collection includes a Social Media Plate ($75) and a Hashtag Plate ($75); both include a 14k gold-filled necklace and a handmade plate. When Tiffany Ortiz, founder and jewelry designer of TAudrey told me that she wanted to send me my own @PrettyInPigment nameplate, I seriously did a happy dance because I was so excited.
Since the day I received my necklace, I have only taken it off to shower and sleep. This necklace means a lot to me and has become a signature part of my daily look. It’s a very original piece of jewelry and the craftsmanship is superb. It also makes a great conversation piece, which is why I love to wear it to networking events.
You can get your very own social media necklace by visiting the TAudrey website. Don’t forget enter promo code: Pretty In Pigment at check out to receive 15% off of your order.
