It’s finally that time of year again (Well its been that time of year for about 2 months already in Florida)…SUMMER! I’m sure ever one has started to stash away the tights and jackets and pull out the swim suits, shorts and sun dresses! Along with summer clothing fashion comes beauty trends to complete the looks!
One of my favorite looks, is the bronze skin that comes with the season, and fun in the sun. But rather than exposing yourself to the harmful effects of the sun, use some SPF and substitute sun with bronzer!
To Get This Look:
First and fore most I ALWAYS apply a primer, today I used MAKE UP FOREVER HD Primer. The bronzer I used for the is the Sephora sculpting disk ($24). The disk is inexpensive and comes with a bronzer, matte powder, and a peachy highlighter. This is my everyday go to bronzer. To achieve the look, by applied my MUFE (also sold at Sephora) foundation (shade #123) as usual and the used an angled MAC brush #168 to sculpt/ contour my cheeks. After, I applied a highlighter on my cheek bones ( I used MAC iridescent powder in Golden Bronze). Then I applied the matte powder on my nose, forehead and jawline, lightly blending it into the bronzer.

As for the eyes, This is my simple smokey for summer. I used MAC soft brown matte shadow on my lid. Then, I blended MAC Concrete shadow into the crease of my lid. Lastly, I applied MACL’oreal black liquid liner (and created a winged effect) and applied MAC Feline eye kohl liner to the lower water line of my eyes. A Little bit of MAC Haute and naughty mascara (I usually do 2 coats) to complete the eyes and, I kept the lips super simple. I’m not a big fan of gunky lips so i just applied MAC Half & Half lip color and touch of clear lip gloss to finish the lips. My routine finishing step is a few sprays of MAC Fix Plus spray 🙂 Ricepaper shadow to my brow bone. It is important to highlight the brow bone to bring out the eyes and and help shape the face. After that, I simply lined my eyes with a
This is a great look for a summer evening out or even for work for some individuals. This a very good alternative to a heavy, dark, winter smokey eye but still gives a similar effect.
I hope you enjoy!
