Are you obsessed with the Lularoe Carly dress?
I am.
After falling head over heels over the Lularoe leggings that my friend Ann introduced me to, I decided to try another one of her suggestions– the Carly dress. She raved about how much she loved this fairly new Lularoe style and thought that I would become a fan too. She was right because I went from one Carly dress to three in just a matter of months!
There are a few simple reasons that I became an instant Carly lover:
- Comfortable (Super soft like the leggings)
- Flattering (You know I don’t believe in dressing for “flattering” but I have to admit it is!)
- Versatile (It can be styled from casual to date night)
I don’t think I have another dress in my closet that has offered me the versatility that my Carly dresses have. I can pop one on without putting a ton of thought into my look and know that I will look put together, but most of the times I like to get creative with my looks. That’s what fashion is all about, right?
I’ve rounded up my favorite ways to style a Carly dress, including a few looks from other Lularoe Addicts!
10 Ways to Style a Lularoe Carly Dress
Carly Dress with Lularoe Leggings
This is a classic look and one of the most common ways to style a Carly dress. It’s a fun look that allows you to change the personality of your look depending on the Lularoe leggings you pair the dress with.
Keepin’ it Casual and Cool in a Carly Dress
Another basic style that is awesome for the warmer months. Last summer while I was still living in Florida, I practically lived in a Carly dress and sandals. Since this is a solid colored dress, it’s easy to change up the look with simple accessories.
Layered Look
On the other hand, when the weather drops, a Carly dress can be easily layered. I love how it looks with a denim jacket and you can elevate the look by wearing it with heels. This is actually a Date Night look that I wore recently. You can also scale it down by pairing it with cool kicks for a laid back take on the athleisure trend.
Pretty + Printed
A printed Carly dress is a lot of fun because the print on the dress is the star of your look. This boom box print Carly dress was a unicorn print for me and I was stoked when Ann tracked it down for me. Since the print is busy, I kept my accessories simple. I added a bit of extra flair by layering on my necklaces for this outfit.
Carly Dress, I Mean Carly T-Shirt
What I love most about the Carly style is that it’s so versatile. By knotting the dress, it easily becomes a t-shirt.
…Or a Tunic
You can have fun experimenting with how knotting the dress can quickly change the look and feel of your look.
But wait… It’s a Skirt Too!
I’m obsessed with midi skirts and the cool thing about a Lularoe Carly dress is that it can be styled to look like a midi skirt with a twist. The dress has a high-low silhouette and on most women, it falls around the calves. By pairing a shirt over the Carly dress, it makes it look like you are wearing two separate clothing pieces. You can also do what I did and knot a shirt over the dress for a trendy feel.

Reverse Knot
I love how my friend Chelsea styled her Carly dress, especially the reverse knot that she is rockin’. She’s a rodeo queen (check out her Instagram) and pairing the dress with her boots allows her personality to come through in her look.
Layered in Lularoe
My friend and Lularoe Consultant Ann is a pro at styling her Lularoe gear. She likes to wear her Carly dress with the Sarah cardigan and leggings when she wants to stay warm and look cute at the same time. The nice thing about this look is that if the temperature rises, you can always shed some layers.
The Long Necklace– a Must-have accessory!
A long necklace and a Carly dress were practically made for each other. Ann has a lot of long necklaces that she pairs with her Carly dresses, but I love the tassel on this necklace.

I like to knot mine on my hip and wear a cute pair of shorts underneath. They peek out on the side and bottom and I get lots of compliments.
