This “Two Girls, One Thrift Store” post is part of my monthly collaboration with Erica of The Truth Tea. On the last Thursday of each month, we team up to share thrifted outfit ideas, tips & tricks, and our favorite places to thrift in Seattle– check out our last post. This month we’re excited to have partnered with Seattle Goodwill for today’s #TwoGirlsOneThriftStore post!
The challenge: Styling an outfit from Goodwill for under $25!
Sounds simple, right? Well, that depends. See, I love to thrift, but I don’t have much patience. I get overwhelmed with the all of the racks of clothing and I expect my dream outfit to just jump out at me. It’s the reason why I have never found a solid outfit in one thrifting trip. I usually pick up odds and ends each time I go.
When Erica and I went shopping at the Seattle Goodwill flagship store for our look, I was a little nervous because I didn’t know if I was going to find an entire outfit. I knew I wanted to style something colorful, but I also wanted to make sure there was at least one vintage piece in my look.
I felt like I was asking for too much. Do you agree?
Well Pigment Pals, the thrifting gods must have been looking out for me that night because I found everything I was looking for in one thrift trip! I still can’t believe it. I’m not usually this lucky, but I found an outfit that I totally love. This never happens to me, so I think having Erica’s help was a major reason on why this trip was such a success for me.

Goodwill Outfit under $25 Details
Vintage Multi-color Silk Blouse- $5.99
White Tee- From my closet
Flared Torrid Jeans- $7.99
Converse Sneakers- $ 7.99
Total: $21.97
Can you believe that? Head to toe for under $25! That’s why I enjoy thrifting so much, especially at Goodwill. I love that I score fun pieces at such great prices, all it takes is a little patience.
I have to say that this is probably one of my favorite outfits that I have ever thrifted. The vintage silk blouse is definitely the “unicorn” in this look and I love the print. I feel that it represents my personal style and aesthetic perfectly. Plus, it’s the first silk item I’ve ever owned! I’m looking forward to styling it into other looks this spring.
Now that you’ve seen how I styled my look, make sure to go check out Erica’s look too!

What a deal on those Converse! So many other Goodwill stores around here charge at least $9.99+ (no matter the condition) for a pair of Converse. Great find!

Thanks…I always keep my eyes open for the good deals. I’ve snagged a lot of new and even designer items through the years.

I love the outfit Sahily – looks so chic and comfy in the same time. I have scored some fun pieces myself at Goodwill, you just need patience to look through everything.

I agree Rally, patience is the most important thing. It’s something I’m working on learning myself lol.
