When I first moved to Seattle one of my friends made a joke about how people here come out of the woodworks when the sun is out. I honestly didn’t believe it. Being from Florida I felt that the sun was over-rated, that is until I spent a winter in the rainy city. They weren’t playing when they said that it’s grey are dreary for months around here!
Don’t get me wrong, I still love Seattle, but looking up and feeling like you live in a grey cloud for days on end can be a downer. On the bright side, we’ve officially made it past the winter hump in Seattle and signs of spring are finally on the horizon. It may be too soon to kick the winter coat for good, but as the days get longer it’s a reminder that warmer weather is on its way.
In the last week we’ve been getting a sneak peak of spring with some sunny days and I’ve been taking advantage of being able to wear some of my spring wardrobe must-haves from Torrid.
I love this outfit because its got a bohemian vibe to it. It actually reminds me of Kate Hudson’s character in Almost Famous, do you remember that movie? I think it’s the circle sunnies and the embroidered blazer paired together that does it. Speaking of the blazer, I’m obsessed with this piece. It’s part of the Torrid Insider collection, a limited capsule collection inspired by edgy trendsetters. This piece feels vintage, but the frayed edges are totally on trend for spring.
You know what else this outfit is perfect for? Festival season! Its got all of the festival fashion essential: fringe, tassels, and comfortable dance-proof Denim. This style is of denim is dreamy. They have just enough stretch to move around with you without losing its shape. My favorite thing about this is the zip ankle. It gives them a nice edge that I appreciate. I can totally see myself wearing the to Coachella and dancing to my favorite songs! A girl can dream, right?
