Summer Hair Tips & Tricks from SoBlo Boca Raton
Last Tuesday I co-hosted the “Welcome to Summer” event at SoBlo in Boca Raton, Florida. As many of you know, SoBlo is my go-to blow dry salon to get my hair styled into perfection (check out my previous SoBlo post here).
I spent the afternoon learning about the latest hair trends, products and getting another fabulous SoBlo blow out. The YSL ladies from Neiman Marcus in the Boca Town Center Mall also joined us for the event. The YSL makeup artist demonstrated some of the best summer makeup trends and products, and I was sure to take notes.
The summer solstice celebration was so much fun! There is no need to be bummed if you missed out on the fun because I have put together a recap of the best summer hair tips and tricks from SoBlo’s co-owner, Stać, and SoBlo stylist, Kelsey.

When you are running low on time from having some fun in the sun, the wet bun is a quick and easy way to look polished on the go.
Start by applying Davines No. 3 Universal Matting Mouse for Wizards to clean, wet hair. Then, twist your tresses into a wet bun at ear level on the back of your head.
Tip: Transition your wet bun into summer waves by letting your hair dry in the bun. You can let your hair air dry or speed up the process with the blower. Once your hair is dry, release your bun for soft and sexy beach waves.
Headbands are a fun way to accessories your hair and outfit in one simple step for any occasion. They can be worn with curly, straight or wavy locks and even up-dos! This is a summer trend that I will be rocking very often. How will you wear headbands this summer?
Tip: To avoid frizzes and keep your hair in place, use a hint of Davines No. 10 Universal Polishing Coat for Wizards. A little goes a long way with this product!
Braids are all the rage this summer! From a fishtail braid, messy side braid to a waterfall braid, the possibilities are endless. Braids are a quick style that can easily transform into waves when dry.
Start by braiding your hair to the side of your choice. If you would like to keep the look boho-chic, braid your hair loosely and allow a few sidepieces to remain outside of the braid. Finish the braid by applying Davines Glam Power Spray to maintain a touchable hold. Make sure to apply this product downward towards the hair for best results.
Tip: To fluff and thicken the braid, pull your fingers through the braid gently to loosen it up. Make sure to use the SoBlo hair ties, which secure your braid without leaving a crease line behind.
Hanging out in the sun is a summer staple, but it can be damaging to your hair if you don’t take the proper protective steps. Protect your hair by applying a nourishing leave-in conditioner before and after a day in the sun. SoBlo stylist, Kelsey, suggests using Davines Leave-in conditioner because it has a UV protector to guard hair from sun damage. It also protects your hair from harmful minerals found in the ocean and pool.
Tip: Davines Leave-in Conditioner is a great alternative to regular conditioner for thin hair. This product will not weight the hair down, while still keep hair soft and healthy.
Whether you are lightening up your color for summer or spending time splashing at the pool, make sure to keep your tresses pampered. Give your hair some TLC with a nourishing repair mask to keep locks sexy all season long!
Start by washing your hair with Davines Salu Clarifying Shampoo. This shampoo will remove build up and harmful toxins from your hair for a squaeky clean finish. Then, apply Davines Nourishing Repair Mask to towel dried hair for 20 minutes.
Tip: Stać suggests using heat (such as blow dryer) to open the hair cuticle for maximum results.
Please Note: All of the products listed below are available for purchase at SoBlo.
I hope you enjoy trying these summer hair tips and tricks at home. If you are in the Boca Raton area, make sure to stop by SoBlo for the best blow out in South Florida. This summer SoBlo will be offering free product samples with the purchase of a blow-dry. Make sure to grab yours today!

I will probably try the bun. I’ve been looking for a way to curl my hair with no heat. I think this just might do the job
