Let me be completely honest with you before I even start talking about what to wear to the Star Wars The Force Awakens Premiere. I’m part of the 1% of people who actually feel totally indifferent about going to see Star Wars The Force Awakens. I’ve never been a fan of the Star Wars saga. I’ve tried to watch the movies several times, but every time my mind strays away to a different galaxy.
My Mr on the other hand is completely Star Wars obsessed. Just to give you an idea how much he loves Star Wars, he has Darth Vader painted onto the motor of his car. The whole car actually has a Vader theme. With that said,he always drags me along to watch the movies and while they don’t really interest me, I’m there for moral support. I kind of owe it to him since he’s watched the entire Twilight Saga (sparkly vampire movies as he calls them) with me.
Although I’m not hyped about the film, there is one thing that does grab my attention: the fashion. All of the stores are obsessed with this movie coming out and I’ve seen all kinds of Star Wars clothing, from t-shirts, to underwear. Since I’m going to see the the premiere of the movie with my boyfriend, I’m taking this opportunity to find the perfect outfit for the night, while adding my own geeky chic fashionable flair!
What to Wear to The Star Wars The Force Awakens Premiere
Layers Are A Must- You know it’s always cold inside of the theater, so make sure to bring a light jacket, cardigan, or at least wear a long sleeve shirt. I prefer a layer, since it’s easy to shed if it gets too warm. After all, the place is almost guaranteed to be packed!
Represent Your Side- Whether your part of the light or dark side of the force, make sure to represent your side proudly! You don’t have to go in a full storm trooper costume to show your support, although that would make for an epic selfie. Instead, opt for a t-shirt to show your team spirit.
Carry A Clutch- With some many people dying to see this movie, it’s likely to be a full house inside of the theater for the next week. There will barely be enough room to breathe, much less your Mary Poppins bag. This is not the time to sneak in Taco Bell. Leave your super size handbag at home and carry a cute clutch instead. You can even carry a totally chic Han Solo inspired clutch like this one.
Stay comfy- Watching a movie should be a fun experience, so don’t let your threads get in the way. Wear comfortable clothes such as jeans and cotton t-shirts. After all, your going to be sitting for a while.
