I have to admit; I can be pretty shallow and go for looks before getting to know a pair of shoes. I’m swooned by bold colors, shiny embellishments and the most compelling of the all– designer labels!
We’ve all been there: Searching the shoe section at your favorite store when all of a sudden you lock eyes with a gorgeous pair of shoes. Your feet are skipping multiple steps as you make your way to the shoes. You slip the charming shoes on and stand in front of the mirror thinking, “We’re meant to be! These shoes belong in my next #shoefie!” Then, you swipe your card to vow your love for your new shoes. Off you go as the newly wed Mrs. Perfect Shoes, without really knowing anything about your new sole mates.
You can’t wait for the world to know about your new love and without even taking the time to “break in” your new shoes, you head off for a long evening out on the town with friends. When you arrive at the party, your gal pals are bursting with excitement to meet the new shoes in your life. They all compliment you on how great you look in your with Mr. [desirable name brand shoe brand here].
At first, things are cupcakes and rainbows, but then things take a turn for the worse and you start to feel the cries for comfort from your aching feet. The unhappiness caused by the discomfort is tolerable, but it doesn’t take long before you realize that you’ve gotten too close too fast with a pair of shoes you barely knew. Now you’re standing there thinking, “Is this really happening to me? How am I going to get out of this relationship with a heel breaker?” The pain gets worse and even the bandage that you keep stashed away in your clutch can’t save your relationship because the darn thing won’t stay on properly. Then the worst thing that can happen to a fashionista happens to you; yes YOU– a wardrobe malfunction!
It’s officially time to gather your besties and box of tissues because tears will be shed. You and your perfect shoes are breaking up and you’d rather leave the event barefoot than continue on in a bad shoe relationship. This tragic break up could have been avoided if you would have had taken the time to get to know Mr. (Ex) Perfect Shoes in the first place.
Can you tell that I have experience with bad shoe relationships?
Breaking up with a hot pair for shoes is a major bummer, because it feels like all you are left with a painful blister for days to come. Your a busy gal and you just don’t have time to miss one of life’s adventures because of blister pain caused by good looking shoes. It’s also hard to keep the shoes off of your mind because truth be told, you still love em’. They literally become skeletons in your closet and every time you open it, you can’t help but remember the bad heel breaking experience. You want to give Mr. Perfect shoes a second chance, but you don’t want to risk him breaking your heel again.
Luckily for my Mr. Perfect Shoes, there is something that made me decide to give him a second chance. We all make mistakes, and when he rubs my heels the wrong way, I protect them with a COMPEED® Blister Medium Cushions.
How I Saved my Relationship with Mr. Perfect Shoes
European women have been keeping this gem a secret for over 30 years, but COMPEED® Blister Medium Cushions is making its way to the U.S. market and is currently sold only at Walgreens. Unlike the traditional bandage that failed me the night me and Mr. Perfect shoes broke up, COMPEED® Blister Medium Cushions act as a breathable second skin that protects exposed nerve endings to offer quick pain relief. The Cushions’ hydrocolloid technology stay allows it to stay place and acts as a barrier against water, dirt and bacteria. I like to use the COMPEED® Blister Medium Cushions, since heels are usually my troubled spot, but the cushions come in a variety of sizes that can provide instant relief by covering blisters on all areas of your feet. Toes, heels, you name it!
Thanks to COMPEED® Blister Medium Cushions, Mr. Perfect shoes and I have been able to work out our problems. A blister won’t stop us from dancing the night away together again and our relationship has never been better. Yep, it’s safe to say that we’re living happily ever after!
Have you spotted the COMPEED® Blister Medium Cushions at Walgreens? Let me know how they saved your relationship with your Mr. Perfect Shoes!
