Last week I shared some details with you about my summer concert beauty essentials from Walmart and gave you the scoop on all of must-haves for getting ready for a big night of music entertainment. I was preparing to head to The Filmore Miami Beach to see a few of my favorite Latin music performers at the Premios Juventud VIP Tour. I ended up taking Vanessa, one of my besties, and have to report to you that we had an amazing night! We met up with a few other chicas, including Annie of The Fashion Poet. I’m sure you saw how much fun we had from all of the Snaps I kept posting that night! Speaking of Snaps, I got several requests on how to recreate the easy twisted hairstyle that I wore to the Premios Juventud VIP Tour, so I put together a little tutorial for you!
But before we get to the tutorial, let’s talk about my primping process for the night. I started off by by showering with my Caress Love Forever Body Wash. This body wash releases a burst of fragrance every time you touch your skin for up to 12 hours. I’m glad I had a long lasting scent because during the concert I had a chance to actually meet Wisin. Yes, like actually exchange words with him and get close enough to him that he would be able to smell me. It’s a good thing I smelt great! I didn’t think I was going to have the opportunity to get this up close and personal with him, but it made me glad that I had been using my Pond’s Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream for a few days leading up to the concert. This moisturizer visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines, so my skin looked flawless for my big meet and great!
Now, for the hair!
Truth be told, I’m not good when it comes to hair. Makeup I can do, but fun hair styles are way out of my comfort zone. I usually make my way to hair salon when I need it styled, but this time I decided to give it a try on my own!
Hair Tutorial: Easy Twisted Hairstyle
Before starting my hairstyle I washed my hair with my TRESemmé Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo. Then, I conditioned my hair with my TRESemmé Botanique Nourish & Replenish Conditioner. Next, I blow dried my hair as usual and used a anti-frizz smoothing cream to help keep my style in place.
To start the twisting portion of my style, I started by taking a triangle section of hair near my part and divided it into two sections. Then I cris-crossed the sections to create a twist and once I reached the back of my head I used a bobby pin to secure the twist.
I repeated this step again on the opposite side.
To give the twisted hairstyle a lived in look, I used my fingers to pull apart and loosen a few sections of the twists. I finished the look by using a curing wand to curl a few strands of my hair.
Did you miss all of the action on my social channels from the Premios Juventud VIP Tour on my social pages? No worries, I rounded up a few of my favorite pics from the night to share with you!
