Feliz Dia De Los Muertos everyone!
Now that Halloween is all rapped up, some cultures are celebrating what is commonly know as “The Day of The Dead.” I started my celebration a little early and wore the popular makeup trend as my Halloween costume. It seems like this was a very popular look this season, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon! Honestly, the main reason I decided to sport the Sugar Skull trend was because I was on a budget this year. I was able to put the look together for under $10 and was also able to use a lot of things right from my closet. The best part was that I won 2nd place ( Little Red Riding hood & A Werewolf beat me) at a city Halloween costume contest. I have never won at a real costume contest, unless you count house parties, so I was very excited to win!!!
To create this look I used a variety of products from Sugarpill (Tako, Stella, Royal Sugar), MAC ( Night moth lip liner, Russian Red Lipstick) Inglot (Teal Pigment) and Wolfe FX face paints (Black and White). |
Here I am with my trophy (I also won gift cards)! |
Did anyone else wear a Sugar Skull for Halloween?
If so post links to your look…I’d love to check them out!

Awesome sugar skull! I wasn’t gonna do any this year ’cause I did one last year, but some clients wanted them. There’s just so many different ways to dress them up & they’re so much fun to do!
