“Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.” -Sophia Loren
I read this quote today and I couldn’t agree more with Sophia Loren’s statement.
We live in a brutal world that is focused on outer beauty, rather than inner beauty. And in my opinion, beauty is really something that starts from within. There is no beauty cream in the world that can grant you inner beauty; only you have the power to feel beautiful from within. Trust me, once you have a relationship with your inner goddess, it will shine on the outside.
There are certain activates that help me feel beautiful from the inside out, and last week I found a new activity to add to my list—Pure Barre.
Pure Barre is a total body workout that utilizes the ballet barre to perform small, isometric movements, which burn fat, sculpt muscles and create long, lean physiques. The company was founded by dancer, choreographer and fitness guru Carrie Rezabek Dorr. Carrie opened her first studio in the basement of an office building in Birmingham, MI in 2001. With no initial clients, staff, signage or even a bathroom, Carrie successfully grew Pure Barre into the dynamic company it is today.
It’s no surprise that Pure Barre picked up momentum so quickly, this effective technique can help women reshape their bodies within no time in a fun and high-energy atmosphere. It’s also a great way to release stress and feel better about yourself.
Last week, my blogging buddy Aileen from Newsy Parents organized a media event for bloggers to try a Pure Barre class at the new location (next to Publix) in the Sunshine Square Shopping Center in Boynton Beach. A few other bloggers attended the class, which was lead by Nicole.
I didn’t think the Pure Barre workout would be too intense since I used to be a dancer for several years. Boy was I wrong!
Every exercise that we did made me feel the burn, and I wasn’t alone, the other girls were feeling it as well. We all had a great time, shared a few laughs, and kept pushing each other along the way. I can definitely see why Pure Barre is more than just a workout. Pure Barre truly creates a sense of community and a positive environment for women to motivate each other and meet their fitness goals.
I left Pure Barre with a sense of accomplishment and can’t wait to come back for another class!
Pure Barre at Sunshine Square will be holding their grand opening party on January 31, 2014 from 7-9PM. If you are in the area, make sure the stop by and check it out!
