As a self proclaimed beauty aficionada, my bathroom is my official skin care command center. It contains everything I need to keep my skin clear and healthy, but with that said, I have to confess that the area was a mess! I’m an organization freak, so I literally lost sleep over the situation. I knew it was time to tackle the beauty beast in my bathroom, so I started to brain storm on ideas to reduce the clutter.
My bathroom has a modern vibe that mixes cool tones such as grey and blue, with earthy elements such as wood and metals. Naturally a mason jar bathroom organizer was the perfect solution to organize my space. I considered buying a pre-made mason jar bathroom organizer, but after seeing the price tag, I decided to take on the project!
I headed off to Walmart to get some supplies and before I could make it to the hardware section, I took a detour into the beauty department. Shocking, right?
With spring around the corner, I was looking for something fun to take care of some pesky pores, and that’s when I discovered the Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. These Limited Edition Bioré Cleansing strips are exclusively available at Walmart, and come in wild prints (zebra and cheetah)! It’s the deepest way to clean pores and they can remove a week’s worth of dirt and gunk that causes clogged pores in just 10 minutes. Clean pores and an organized bathroom in one afternoon? I’ll take it!
Once I grabbed all of my supplies, I headed home to get started on my DIY. I’m all about multi-tasking, so I cleansed my face in circular motions (helps to boost circulation), patted my face dry with a clean towel, then I moistened my nose before popping on a Bioré Cleansing Strip. Before I headed outside to work on my project, a quick selfie was in order!
The project only took a few minutes and it was enough time to keep my Bioré Cleaning Strip on my nose for 10 minutes. After I removed it, I could see the gunk from my face on the strip. It’s totally gross, but at least I know that my pores are fiercely clean, now that’s wild!
If you want to clean your pores and your bathroom in the same afternoon like I did, head to Walmart and pick up the wild limited-edition Bioré Cleansing Strips and the supplies to make your organizer. Then follow the easy instructions below to make a DIY Mason Jar Bathroom Organizer!
DIY Mason Jar Bathroom Organizer
Materials Needed:
- Piece of wood (I used an 18” piece of scrap wood and kept it the natural color, but you may chose to stain your wood.)
- 4 Wide mouth pint jars with bands
- 4 2 1/2” hose clamps
- 4 #6 5/8 in wood screws
- picture mounting kit
- Drill
- Measuring tape
Steps:
First, Figure out how you would like to space your jars and use a pencil to mark the locations where you will place your screws. For my organizer, I spaced my jars 2” apart.
Then, Use the drill bit to widen the hole on the clamp for the screw to fit through, then drill the screw into the wood. Repeat this step until you have secured all of your clamp.
Now, Flip your wood around and install the mounting hardware from the picture kit to the back of the wood.
Finally, Place a jar in each clamp and tighten each one, so that your jars are secure.
Have you tried the Bioré Cleansing Strips from Walmart yet? How are you getting your bathroom organized for spring?
