DIY Carrie Diaries Purse Tutorial
The second season of the CW’s hit show, The Carrie Diaries, returns to a TV near you today. I have been anxiously waiting for the return of this show all summer long and I can’t wait to tune for another season!
I instantly fell in love with this show during the first season because I have read The Carrie Diaries books before they became a TV show. Candace Bushnell, the author of the books and Sex and The City, is one of my favorite writers. I love her sexy style of writing just as much as I love the characters that she created.
I have watched Sex and The City for over a decade, and while Carrie’s style still makes my heart melt, it’s nice to get a fresh does of Carrie with the new show. I personally love young Carrie’s style and funky approach to fashion, which resembles my personal sense of style.
The purse that she created during the first season of the show has been one of my favorite accessories from the show. The colorful purse has a very Jackson Pollack look to it, with a controlled chaos of splattered colors. It’s visually fun to look at and it’s sure to get jaw-dropping stares.
I created this DIY Carrie Diaries Purse Tutorial so that you can make your very own Carrie handbag. It’s very easy to make this purse and super inexpensive. As a matter of fact, you may have all of the supplies in your room right now!
Please pardon little Ms. Gia, she kept beggin’ to pop in for the pic! 🙂
A purse (New or used, I picked mine up for under $5 at a thrift store)
Nail Polishes (A minimum of 3 colors in colors that range from light to dark)
Newspaper or something to protect your work space
I have created this short and simple video tutorial for you to follow!
