There’s always a new beauty craze making its way around the internet. Vampire facials, strobing, baking…there is a list of new one popping up everyday. While most beauty trends fizzles, some rise to mainstream status like the spread of Asian Beauty Products.
K-beauty (Korean beauty) grabbed my attention the second I heard about the 10 + step beauty routine that Korean women practice. It’s practically a choreographed production designed to give you gorgeous glowing skin! The whimsical packaging was the icing for me, so I decided to give some cult favorite products a whirl!
Asian Beauty Products You Need To Try
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask ($9)
After seeing a few reviews of this bubble clay mask on YouTube, I decided I had to give it a try too. Everyone raves about how it leaves skin squeaky clean and removes black heads. I have to admit, even after seeing other people wearing this mask, I never thought it would be so fun to wear! It puffed up so much and smelt so good while I wore it. The trick to maximizing the cleansing effects of the mask is to re-wet the mask after it foams two times, while massaging skin. Believe it or not, it bubbles up again each time!
I followed the directions and my skin felt clean and dreamy when I finally got it all off. Since it cleans everything out, it’s important to follow up with a moisturizer.
PeriPera Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher ($16)
Asian beauty brands are all about the cute factor and this cushion blusher is adorbs! The sponge applicator makes it easy to apply blush on-the-go, plus the creamy buildable blush is moisturizing for your skin too.
Tony Moly Shiny Skin Soap ($8)
I know that real eggs are great for tightening pores, but I’m personally not a fan of egg whites on my face. Except when it comes to using these darling egg shaped soaps. The eggs contain REAL egg whites (minus ickyness of real eggs), as well as red clay and coconut oil to provide skin with nutrients and moisture, while minimizing pores. I like how my skin looks after using the cleanser, but I love how it smells even more!
Too Cool Cool Dino Platz Eyeshadow on Flatiron ($18)
This eyeshadow moisturizes your eyelids while you wear the water-resistant cream eyeshadow. The formula is jelly-like and the coverage is amazing, plus your lids feel nice and smooth after wear.
Brightening Sheet Mask Bundle from Peach & Lily ($23)
Sheet masks are a staple in Korean beauty routines. These two masks work hand-in-hand to brighten skin, including dark spots and uneven skin tone.
The White Bloom Triple Bright Floral Mask lightens and brightens the skin using natural lily extract to help you achieve a youthful, radiant look. The King’s Berry Mask Sheet is a nutrition superhero for your face with vitamins and antioxidants to work against the symptoms of aging skin. Together, these two masks boost general skin health leaving you with a glowing complexion!
Shiseido Ibuki Starter Kit
Shiseido is probably the most mainstream Asian beauty brand because it has been in major retailers for years.
They recently launched the IBUKI collection, designed to combat recurring skin issues such as visible pores, blemishes, dryness, and uneven skin tone. It’s not quiet as in-depth as the 10+ step Korean beauty regimen, but it helps to get healthy and balanced skin a few simple steps.

It is and it’s so fun to use! Last night I snapchatted how it works and even make my boyfriend do it too. We had a blast doing it (he had no idea it would bubble the way it did) and we have a nice clean face today!
