I thought Seattle was going to have an endless summer until a few weeks ago. It seemed as if we went from summer to fall overnight with the return of brisk temperature and the grey skies up above. I was personally dreading fall because I know that it’s a sure sign that winter is coming, but then I had a change of heart.
It’s not fall’s fault that winter is a doozie. In fact, fall is pretty great. I for one love all of the activities, like going to pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and apple picking. Let’s not forget that Halloween, my favorite holiday, is also part of that mix.
A few weekends ago, Brandon and I decided to get our fall on by visiting the Carpintino Brothers Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze just outside of Seattle. Nothing like a field full of pumpkins, grey skies, and chilly temperatures to get you in the spirit of the season. We walked around the field to peep the pumpkins, but who am I kidding, half of the reason we went was to take pictures on the patch. Some may think it’s silly, but I got all dolled up on a Sunday for this otherwise, I would have spent the day bra-less in my PJs.
Pumpkin Patch Outfit Idea
My pumpkin patch outfit idea was inspired by my favorite things about fall. One of those things being plaid. Although I wear the print most of the year, fall is my favorite time to break out the buffalo plaid. Even more so when I can pair it with a contrasting print, like my leopard print booties. The rest of the outfit? Well, it was about comfort because picking the right pumpkin is no easy task. I also included my two new fall accessories: my Warby Parker Collis frames and my Sherpani Amelia backpack. I’ve been sporting this duo non-stop. I love how they add a dose of chic to my look, even if it’s to frolic in the mud surrounded by pumpkins.
