I must confess. I wondered my way into Lush yet again. It was supposed to be a window shopping visit during a break from class, but of course I walked out with a few goodies! Some of the things were products I have already reviewed, if you would like to view my last Lush review, please follow this link.
Just as the title says, these masks are made fresh and are delivered weekly to lush. They must be kept cold, and can be stored in the fridge for about 3 weeks. Once again, made of all natural ingredients. This green mask is packed with all sorts of interesting things to help rejuvenate any skin type. It contains lavender oil, kaolin, honey, almonds, and the next one may sound weird, but seaweed! I know, seaweed sounds a little stinky (At least that’s what I initially though). Actually, the lavender scent really radiates when you are wearing the mask for a nice dose of aromatherapy. The mask is thick and applies easily all over your face. It doesn’t drip, which I really liked because I was still able to do other things while pampering. I left the mask on for about 15 minutes when it started to feel a little tight. I then used warm water to start washing it off. While washing it, I scrubbed my face in circular motions to allow the scrubbing particles to wash away any oil and debris. After removing the mask and drying my face, I noticed a huge difference right away. My face felt super smooth and had a radiating glow. My pores were visibly smaller and oil free! Not only did my face look and feel nice, but lavender fragrance left a nice soft scent behind.
Fresh Face Mask “Cupcake” ($6.95)
Oh what girl can resist the sweet smell of chocolate? I swear I wanted to lick this mask off my skin! This is a great vegan mask designed for oily skin. My skin is not exactly oily, but I couldn’t resist the smell of this mask. It contains spearmint oil that gives your face a slightly cool feeling while you are wearing it. It also contains rhassoul mud and vanilla extract to cleanse and calm skin. This mask was also easy to apply, and like I mentioned before a chocolate bliss for your face!
Coal Face Soap (Sample)
I received the coal face cleanser as a sample, and I have to say I received a very generous sample! This cleanser is made with coal and also contains sandalwood and licorice. The coal helps absorb excess oil off the skin, while the sandalwood helps improve the skin. This cleaner also acts an exfoliate and removes impurities off of your skin. I liked how the cleaner felt, however like I mentioned before, my skin is not very oily. I felt that this cleanser removed all of the oil off of my face and made it feel to tight and dry. I don’ think this is an ideal product for myself, however I think it would be a great product for the right person.
Have you guys tried any of these products? If so which do you love or would like to try one day?
