Lace will leave a romantic touch on the spring/summer of 2013. The feminine fabric has been seen on the spring/summer 2013 runways of Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana. From pop of color hues, to elegant shades such as ivory, adding lace to your wardrobe is must for the spring/summer seasons!
I love my greenlace Xhiliration dress that I bought from Targeta few months ago. As a matter of fact, I loved it so much that I bought this dress in two shades! I have a hard time finding dresses that I like for my figure, so when I find one I love, I don’t let the opportunity pass me by. The green one is my favorite, but I also have a cream one so that I can switch up the look through out the summer season.
The cut of this lace dress is very flattering for curvy figures, and it can work on almost any body type. I recommend wearing this dress with a high waisted belt to define your waist, like I did with my thin black bow belt. It’s too hot to layer much in South Florida, but this dress also looks great layered. A cropped faux leather jacket is the perfect way to add a little edge to this romantic-chic look. Since I skipped on the layers, I added a DIY flower crown to give my look a personal touch. Flowers are a huge trend this season and a flower crown is a great way to turn this look into the perfect outdoor concert outfit. Save some money by making your own flower crown with my DIY Flower Crown tutorial.
I lightly accessorized this look because my flower crown draws a lot of attention already. A little bit of arm candy, small earring and this mustard Francesco Biasia purse were enough to neatly tie the look together.
When wearing dresses I usually have to be careful because my height can make appear too short and stumpy. I lengthen my figure by wearing dresses with heels, such as these Jeffery Campbell Distressed Leather Lita’s that I have paired with this look. I love life with my Lita’s; they are very versatile and believe it or not, they are the most comfortable heels I own.
What are your favorite elements of this summer ready look?
