I don’t have to tell you that I love the spa because it’s something that I blog about all of the time. I’ve tried all kinds of facials, massages, and scrubs—or so I thought. I seriously considered myself a pretty savvy spa connoisseur, until my recent visit at Spa 308 in Boynton Beach, Florida.
For starters, let me explain the place to you a little better. Spa 308 is located within the new My Salon Suite in Boynton Beach, which is a really innovative movement in the salon industry. It’s a luxurious salon franchise, with a shared space concept for beauty professionals such as hair stylists and estheticians.
Each professional has his or her own private salon within the My Salon Suite. It’s kind of like having your own apartment within an apartment building. Each independent stylist has the ability to decorate their own space, offer their own services, and the flexibility to be open at whatever time they wish. When I first heard this, I was a little bit concerned about safety, but they’ve got it covered. Rick, the owner of the Boynton Beach My Salon Suite location, explained their multilevel security system, which includes a video doorbell system.
I visited Spa 308 at My Salon Suite in the evening and the place was thriving with people. Many of the professionals in the building were busy with their clients. Some had their doors open and others had their doors closed. I thought that you would be able to hear the chatter, but once I was inside of Spa 308, I entered a tranquil escape.
An Evening of Pampering at Spa 308 in Boynton Beach
Susan the owner of Spa 308 has her spa decorated with a clean and modern Zen theme, complete with soothing sounds. After speaking with Susan, I realized that the space was a reflection of her nurturing and comforting personality. She’s definitely one of those people who genuinely likes to make people feel good, which I feel is why she is phenomenal at what she does.
I usually can tell you about every step of my spa treatments, but Susan really went above and beyond with my treatment. She applied multiple products on my face, a few which really stuck out because I’ve never tried them before.
Layered Masks- Susan used Knutek MD and Bio-Therapeutic’s Bt Cocktail Masks and layered them to create her own concoction. These are advanced products from the Dead Sea in Israel, designed to brighten skin.
24k gold Mask- I know this is hard to believe, but Susan literally covered my face in gold leaf. I had never heard of this, but apparently the gold has a lot of minerals and anti-aging properties. This luxe treatment is designed to tighten skin and fight acne and free radicals.
Photon Ultrasonic Light Therapy- Susan likes to layer her facial treatments with the use of machines. This particular one was pretty cool and trippy to look at it. The gentle zaps on the skin help to improve collagen and kill bacteria, which is especially good for acne prone skin.
Susan completed my facial with a mini foot facial, which included a scrub and a massage. This was the icing on my spa experience and I literally felt like Jell-O when she finished. I’m glad that I finished my treatment right before my bedtime, because I felt incredibly relaxed and was ready to hit the sheets when I got home.
After my facial my skin felt smooth and hydrated. A week later it still feels great and appears bright.
You would think that all of these luxury treatments would come with the price to match, but the Spa 308 offers these treatments at an affordable rate. All of the facials at Spa 308 can be customized to fit your individual needs. Spa 308 also offers a full menu of treatments and I’m excited to try one of the body wraps the next time I go in.
